Xiah JunSu's vocal prowess (inherited from his mother, who used to be a singer) was discovered when he was 12. He trained for 6 years before debuting as part of TVfXQ. Xiah wanted to be a soccer player but after seeing H.O.T perform the song Candy on TV, his new dream was to sing on stage.
In November 2007, a commercial was released featuring numerous Korean pop stars, such as BoA and himself which formed the band Anyband. They had released a single in the same month.

Its five members specialize in the areas of singing, dance, a cappella, acting, and pop with an R&B vibe. Since debut, the group gained popularity in South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and other East Asian countries.
